Bei meiner Routenplanung für Myanmar stiess ich auf der Karte auf eine sehr kurvenreiche Strasse im Chin-State. Da ich annahm, dass die Strasse sehr interessant zum Befahren sein würde, wollte ich unbedingt dort durch. Im Internet fand ich auf einer offiziellen Website die Information, dass Ausländer zum Bereisen des Chin-States allgemein ein Permit benötigen und dass einige Gebiete für Ausländer gar nicht zugänglich sind. Obwohl die Strasse genau durch Gebiete führte, welche scheinbar für Ausländer unerreichbar sind, versuchte ich mein Glück und fragte bei einer Reiseagentur, ob sie mir eine Genehmigung für meine geplante Route einholen können. Tatsächlich erhielt ich für 50$ ein Permit und ich konnte den Chin-State befahren. Die Strassen im Chin-State waren oft in schlechtem Zustand und teilweise sehr staubig, wie zum Beispiel bei der letzten Abfahrt nach Kalaymyo.
