Mein Plan war es, am Sonntag, dem 11. November 2018, die chinesische Grenzortschaft Ulugqat zu erreichen, um dann am Montagmorgen die Grenze passieren zu können. Leider brach aber am Sonntagabend eine Schraube, mit welcher der Gepäckträger am Fahrrad montiert worden war. Da ich die abgebrochene Schraube nicht selber entfernen konnte, musste ich eine neue Befestigungsmöglichkeit basteln. Glücklicherweise hatte ich mich bereits vor der Abreise in der Schweiz auf ein solches Szenario vorbereitet und konnte den Gepäckträger innerhalb einer Stunde befestigen und weiterfahren.
